Jobs

We don't hire just anyone...

(because we're in the business of making dreams come true...)

No, you don't have to play an instrument to work at Christy's Bon Bon Belle. So why the pic? And what do marching bands and bridal salons have in common? Glad you asked. Anyone who knows Bon Bon Belle's founder Wendy Lynch knows she can't watch a marching band without getting emotional. Now that little bit of trivia is out there, here's the other reason why the picture above is significant.

Wendy has always been an avid team builder. And she's been doing it since she was 20 years old as one of Nordstrom's youngest Managers. Hiring, developing and managing teams, ranging from just a few to as many as 90 people, have been a part of Wendy's career for over 2 decades. She believes that great companies are built by carefully chosen and empowered teams who have fun and enjoy what they do. Like marching bands that move in perfect unison and belt out awesome let's-get-excited-and-crush-the-competition-music: Great teams are crazy magical.

That's important to understand because Bon Bon Belle is more than a bridal salon that provides wow-like customer service. It's a place where you can grow your career.

To help underscore our point, here is our Top 5 List (which also happens to be our list of Core Values) of how Bon Bon Belle differs from most organizations:

  1. Staff comes first. Before anything else. If you're happy and taken care of, you're better equipped to make sure our customers are happy and taken care of. This value is fostered within a culture of trust, empowerment, work/life balance, and honesty.
  2. Leadership & training = knowing where you stand at all times. We walk the walk and talk the talk. Every person who joins the B3 family is provided with training before working on the floor to ensure an excellent service experience for our customers. By the time your training is complete you'll be ready to burst onto the floor with confidence. And the rest of the team will applaud you (as it should be). And if you have a question, we'll get an answer for you - we're in this together!
  3. Community and having fun are important to us. One example of how the two come together beautifully is during our After Hours Events. At these events we socialize, drink wine & eat good food, while raising awareness and money for various causes close to our community's heart. Being with friends and doing good - a fantastic combination. This is also a wonderful opportunity for our team to learn public speaking, fundraising, marketing, and community development skills.
  4. Commitment to Employee & Employer Success. We are committed to your professional development, not hiring meanies, and making sure only those worthy of being at the Belle actually work at the Belle. It breaks down like this:
    • Bon Bon Belle provides growth opportunities to individuals who perform. Metrics are tracked and you always know how you're doing. We give real-time honest feedback to help you grow. Your personal aspirations are valued and we work with you to reach your goals.
    • Regardless of career aspiration, we have one fundamental requirement: Staff must want to learn how and then provide incredible service (absolute requirement). That rolls into servicing our customers, our community, and each-other.
    • Our interview process is intense. It is intentionally challenging so that those who remain standing at the end are truly committed to making Bon Bon Belle the best bridal salon in the world. That's the team we want to build, and you'll be happy we don't settle for less.
  5. Christy's Bon Bon Belle is no ordinary retail company. Why? You are going to be developed, pushed, and learn valuable skills from service to visual merchandising, event planning to management, with a lot of fun along the way. Wendy's motto is: "complacency is the root of all evil".  'Nuff said.

"Fine tuned" describes your ability to listen to the customer as she articulates her vision, and identify which of our gorgeous gowns align with that vision.
