Yes, you most likely will. Alterations are an essential finishing touch to your gown. When you purchase your dress, your measurements are taken and your standard size is determined by each designer. However, alterations are needed to fit the dress perfectly to your shape and height. That might mean taking in a dress to make it smaller for your hips, bust, or waist (or maybe everywhere), adding bra cups, adjusting straps, hemming to the appropriate length once you have your chosen footwear, and then adding a bustle for your train. We have very talented seamstresses to refer you to, who has been working with wedding gowns specifically and who have decades of experience. We leave the final choice of who will alter your gown up to you. We also recommend budgeting $150 to $350 for alterations with most seamstresses on our preferred list unless you are requesting major modifications.
Alterations are independent of Bon Bon Belle and are not included in the original purchase price. The prices our gowns are listed at do not include alterations or any other charges like tax, special sizes or cup sizes, special/custom length, shipping, or rush charges. It is important to also know that once your gown arrives, the balance must be paid prior to any work commencing on the gown.
