Yes, we require appointments for our brides. This will ensure that a member of our team is dedicated to you and equally important, that there is a fitting room reserved for you. We pride ourselves on good customer service at Bon Bon Belle and an appointment is the best way to give you this service.
Bridal gowns at Bon Bon Belle range from $600 to $3800. The cost of a wedding dress depends on a variety of factors, and prices vary on dress style, designer, any “extras” to make it uniquely yours. Bon Bon Belle has over 300 dresses in store from a variety of designers that each offer unique styles, fabrics, and price points. The store also offers our selection of dresses that are Aisle Ready – these dresses are sample dresses that available to purchase and are ready for you to wear down the aisle.
You will be greeted upon arrival and shown to a seating area where we can capture some information and learn more about your vision for your big day. You and your guests will be seated and your stylist will begin pulling gowns for you based on your preferences. Let us do the work for you, just relax and enjoy being in the spotlight.
We know our bridal gowns very well – how they fit, what parts of your body they will enhance, and other details you may have indicated you prefer or dislike – and quite often one of our stylists pulls a style you would have passed upon the hanger, but when you try it on, you fall in love. Bridal appointments last an hour and one half so that we have ample time to help you find your gown. Our stylists are there to educate you, ask clarifying questions, and help you narrow down your choices to 3 select favorites. Once you make your decision, you will review color & modification preferences, we will take your measurements to ensure the proper fit, and then incorporate everything into a sales order for your review. We require just half down to order your gown, and we offer payment plans or ‘layaway’ as well.
Bon Bon Belle guarantees that your wedding gown will ship within six months! But because the wedding is sometimes built around the style of gown that the bride chooses, we recommend shopping for your wedding dress eight to twelve months before your wedding date. Gowns with a high level of detail and/or intricate fabrics and design might take the maximum amount of time in production and cannot be ordered with a rush, so please keep that in mind as well. If your wedding is less than six months away, fear not! We have oodles of styles to choose from and will work with you to find you your perfect gown. We also have a terrific sale rack where you might just find ‘the one’ for a great price! For very short timelines (anything under three to four months), we have limited options that can be ordered or we may have a limited selection of gowns that can be sold off the rack.
When shopping for your wedding gown, there are no specific undergarments required. If shopping for a strapless gown a strapless bra is a nice-to-have but still not necessary. Quite often gowns have low backs and/or intricate designs so we help you to see the whole picture by helping you move your straps as necessary. Our Stylists will help you in and out of your gowns to ensure the proper fit and wear of the gown. For your wedding day, your wedding gown “foundations” depend on your specific wedding dress style, body type, and goals. We are happy to guide you with advice once you have chosen your gown, helping you understand the myriad options available to you.
As you begin shopping for your bridal gown, you’ll quickly see that industry-standard dictate that boutiques carry one sample of each style. Because we carefully handpick all of our gowns, we have one of the broadest assortments of sizes carried by a boutique, and our collection features sizes 2-30W. Bridal gown sizing runs differently than traditional department store sizing and varies by designer. On average, a bridal gown in a size 12 is similar to a department store size 8 (most run about 2 sizes small). If the gown you try on is too big for you, we have bridal clips to clip the dress tighter to give you a better idea of how the silhouette looks on you. If the gown that you are trying on is too small, we will insert a privacy panel and/or clip the gown up to your undergarments to show you the silhouette. Typically, the sample gowns will never be a perfect fit but we definitely have ways to give you a fantastic idea of what it would look like on you in your size and altered to your shape and height.
Yes, you most likely will. Alterations are an essential finishing touch to your gown. When you purchase your dress, your measurements are taken and your standard size is determined by each designer. However, alterations are needed to fit the dress perfectly to your shape and height. That might mean taking in a dress to make it smaller for your hips, bust, or waist (or maybe everywhere), adding bra cups, adjusting straps, hemming to the appropriate length once you have your chosen footwear, and then adding a bustle for your train. We have very talented seamstresses to refer you to, who has been working with wedding gowns specifically and who have decades of experience. We leave the final choice of who will alter your gown up to you. We also recommend budgeting $150 to $350 for alterations with most seamstresses on our preferred list unless you are requesting major modifications.
Alterations are independent of Bon Bon Belle and are not included in the original purchase price. The prices our gowns are listed at do not include alterations or any other charges like tax, special sizes or cup sizes, special/custom length, shipping, or rush charges. It is important to also know that once your gown arrives, the balance must be paid prior to any work commencing on the gown.
For a stress-free appointment, sometimes less is more! Our brides tend to have the most fun and enjoyable time with a smaller entourage. While it might seem fun to bring all of your wedding party, smaller groups allow you to actually have the opportunity to really determine how you personally are feeling in each gown (and your opinion is the one that matters most). We will guide you through the process, educating you along the way about the various fabrics, style, silhouettes you are trying, and so forth. Because our attention is solely on you, it’s nice to take advantage of that expertise and discover what makes you feel most beautiful, confident, and comfortable.

Over 300 bridal gowns from our designers, we offer something unique and allows us to represent many of the most sought-after styles from rustic chic to beaded ball gowns, vintage wedding dresses to gowns with simple elegance. We also have inclusive sizing with our sample gowns. Up to size 32 for our brides to try on and fall in love with their wedding dress.
Quite often if you find a wedding dress elsewhere that is not exactly right or a bit out of your price range, chances are we have something similar if not better, and quite often, for less.
We take great pride in the individual wow service we provide to all of our customers. You’ll quickly see that all bridal stores make this claim, but we encourage you to experience the love & care at Bon Bon Belle for yourself. We get to know each of our bridal parties and love our journey with each one. Brides love our private suites where you and your entourage try on gowns in privacy (be sure to ask for one if this is important to you and if requesting, please limit the number in your group to 5 for the best experience possible). While we no longer carry tuxedos in our store, we have a great shop – Burlington Menswear – located just 1/2 block away and they have decades of experience (and can even hem, let out, take in right on the spot!). They have both a tuxedo and suit rentals for you and are local for easy pickup and drop off.
